L.A. Fairchild Boutique is the ever-popular North County shopping destination that successfully launched a new level of style and sophistication for San Diego's fashion savvy. Located in the quiet surf town of Cardiff, California, the boutique was created by a dynamic sister team, with the mission to deliver a delicious blend of "Soho meets So-Cal style" to trend setting connoisseurs.

Before venturing into the world of fashion, Laura Fairchild and Julie Fairchild were no strangers to collaboration. The pair traveled around the globe with the junior tennis circuit, before Julie went pro and Laura became a nationally ranked junior tennis player. Years later the girls hung up their rackets as Julie pursued a rewarding career in sales and marketing, and Laura accepted a position with Diane Merrick Clothing Salon in Los Angeles. The famous clothing boutique catered to the needs of celebrity and high profile clientele for over 35 years and it was here that Laura recognized her unique ability to launch cutting-edge trends for Hollywood's most sought after hipsters.

Born a natural entrepreneur, Laura realized it was time to embark in an adventure of her own and opened the doors of L.A. Fairchild Boutique in October 2004. Julie Fairchild jumped at the opportunity to bring her expertise to the project, and once again teamed up with the partner she had previously been so successful with. Although L.A. Fairchild is often thought be short for "Los Angeles Fairchild," it actually stands for "Laura Ann Fairchild." But ironically, Laura's artistic innovation stemmed from the flair and sophistication of the Los Angeles style she had grown so accustomed to. For the first time, San Diego style mavens could revel in the hip and trendy vibe of Melrose without the two-hour commute.

Nestled in the most unlikely of locations, the boutique is designed with shabby chic décor, paying tribute to the relaxed tranquility of the Southern California lifestyle. With overstuffed furniture and racks of top-notch fashion lining every
